Front Description
One of the 28 removable pins which cover the pin ball (PP171513) on the MICKEY MOUSE CLOCK that was given away in 2002 as part of the 100th Anniversary celebration (Thanks 100) of the Dai-ichi Life Insurance company in Japan. The pins are printed (no enamel) with an epoxy coating which has yellowed with time.
PIN BALL: The metal ball is magnetic and has large Mickey-head holes punched out of the center of each space (which is where the pin post hangs). The ball is covered in 28 printed pins (no enamel) with an epoxy coating which has yellowed with time. In order to form the ball shape, the pins are a combination of hexagonal and pentagonal shapes. The 10 five-sided (pentagonal) pins feature various Disney animated character's heads, with their names printed on scroll banners at the bottom. The 18 six-sided (hexagonal) pins feature various characters as seen in Disney animated shorts or movies, with the film's year and name printed (in red) above and below.
This hexagonal pin features MICKEY MOUSE as seen in Disney's animated 1947 cartoon, MICKEY AND THE BEANSTALK.
Pin measures 1-1/2 x 1-5/8 inches.
