"Over the past twenty years, we have had many Disney Pin Events. The Extra! Extra! Series highlights a memorable event within each five-year period and pairs a 4x6" litho backer card with a pin to commemorate that year's event. Representing 2015-2019, this Extra! Extra! Series pin celebrates "Walt Disney's Animation Celebration" from 2015. This event was one of Jes Willis' favorites, because it honored the animation history that we all know and love.
This pin features Mickey Mouse, as Steamboat Willie, on a pin designed to look like an animator's disk (pin-on-pin element). The background behind the disk is a wooden table with a note that reads, “Remember it all started with a mouse.” There is a small green gem in the bottom-right corner. Contains translucent fill and printed details.
