Six four-pin IF WE WERE THERE! boxed sets were released at the "Celebrating 25 Years of Disney Pins" event on 20 Sep 2025 at WDW. Each and every pin has the event's iridescent-stone icon. "For the last 25 years, Disney artists have told immersive stories through metal pin magic, creating and crafting beautiful pieces of art with our beloved characters. This year, we take a look back at the past and wonder, "What would it be like if I were there?" In these unique boxed collections, our artists have created pins inspired by every past annual WDW pin celebration since The Millennium Celebration!"
This is one of four pins from Set 5 and features WALT DISNEY (the man himself) in four-color photo inserts on the background. In front of him (in black-and-white) are MICKEY AND MINNIE (early styling) walking, hand in hand, down a filmstrip. To the right is an old-fashioned DONALD DUCK popping out of a bottle of INK. Contains truanslucent fill.
The inspiration for this mini-jumbo pin was the 2006 event, "It All Started with Walt". As the artist explains, "We said It All Started with Walt, but for Walt, it all started with a mouse!" Features a pin-on-pin element, and Boo's costume has "wiggle eyes".
