Front Description
This pin celebrates the 50th anniversary of Disneyland by recognizing the fact that Walt Disney began creating his vision of a "Magic Kingdom" while working in his Carolwood Barn. On the face of the pin is Walt's barn, in brown enamel on a white, enamel, background with a gray roof and beige doors. Above the weathervane, in gold lettering is, "1955-2005". Behind the barn are the spires of the palace in yellow enamel. To the left, of the barn, is the insignia of the Carolwood Pacific Historical Society. The oval, pin is surrounded with a black, enamel border with, "WHERE THE MAGIC BEGAN" printed at the top and, "WALT DISNEY'S BARN" printed at the bottom. Five of the stars represent the five original areas of the park. Three additional stars represent the later additions and the small star under the barn represents where the Magic began. Sold only to CPHS members.
Differences between this pin and PP37570 are the placement of the years above the barn, size of the box on the back, and two pin posts.
