Nine hand-painted panels depicting key moments from Walt Disney's Sleeping beauty were placed within the carrousel, linking the attraction to the most famous landmark of Fantasyland, Sleeping Beauty Castle. Fun Fact: The carrousel was moved in 1983 during a redesign of Fantasyland. At the same time the Sword and the Stone was added giving everyone a chance to free King Arthur's legendary sword.
