In cooperation with the Disney Family, Walt's backyard railroad is on loan to the California State Railroad Museum through the end of March. With their permission, the California State Railroad Museum Foundation was able to create this pin.
All purchases support the programs and exhibits of the California State Railroad Museum. The pin is limited to 1000 pieces.
Through March 31 "The Happiest Train On Earth: Walt Disney's Backyard Railroad" continues at the California State Railroad Museum. This exhibit features the 1/8" scale "live steam" locomotive and freight train that once ran around this famous showman's own backyard, and helped him to visualize a much larger amusement park complex "surrounded by a train." Additional supporting text and artifacts help tell how trains influenced Walt Disney, beginning in his early childhood years and continuing throughout his lifetime.
