The good fairies Flora, Fauna and Merryweather from Disney's 1959 feature "Sleeping Beauty" are highlighted on this charming black-metal collector's pin, one in a series of oversize Disney character pins honoring legendary Disney animators Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston, who personally selected the image for this pin and whose signatures are reproduced in facsimile on its face.
Flora appears to have black hair and Fauna has reddish blonde. In the film, both of them had gray hair. Only Merryweather had black hair.
The Frank & Ollie pin set #21595 is a Disney Auctions exclusive in limited editions of 100 pins each, with 25 Good Fairies pins offered here individually, while the remaining 75 complete sets of four collector's pins.

[24 Apr 2003 comment: There do appear to be some inperfections in this pin (such as their hair and the fact that Fauna's outfit should be green) compared to the fairies in the final film, but remember they're making these pins in honor of two animators. This pin may be based off of an early drawing of Flora, Fauna and Merryweather. Disney probably created these pins based off of illustrations by these animators and the colors on the drawings. This peticular picture may have been from an early sketch before the finalized these characters for the film.]
