Front Description
The crest is a historical symbol of France (see added comment below for intelligent input on its origin). This is part of 19 retired flag/crest pins sold in the merchandise carts in the World Showcase at Epcot Center in the 1980's. The widest of them are about 3/4 of an inch. They are plastic pins with plastic pieces inserted for different colors. The pin posts are metal, and there is no designation on the back. All of these pins were sold at the same time in their given country. Each country had its flag and many had other flags and/or crests of their nation sold also.
[2002 comment: This pin appears to be a fleur-de-lis. It appears on the Canadian Province of Québec's flag. It is also a symbol of the French Royal Family but as France is a Republic, I'm am sure that it was not sold at the World Showcase pavillion of France but rather at the Canadian pavillion in EPCOT as a Québecois symbol.]
