Front Description
Something unusual for fans of Alice in Wonderland and/or Lewis Carroll (Charles Dodgson).
When my wife visited Oxford, England (where Carroll taught and lived) in the early- to mid- 1990s, she found a number of non-Disney Alice pins. This is one of those pins, showing the Caterpillar and Alice (partially hidden by the Caterpillar's mushroom). It looks like a copy of old color illustration printed on paper, put into a "gold" circle (about 3/4" in diameter) and covered with acrylic or the like. The back says Perfection Souvenir, Made in New Zealand.
Other pins from this set include #21897 and #21898 which are of the same basic design as this pin.
A fourth pin which my wife bought at the same time is #21900. It is painted enamel and very un-Disneylike.
