PP22205    Lions Club - Dopey

Part of a series of 8 pins (separate pins of Snow White and each of the 7 Dwarfs), this large, heavy pin was made by one of the Lions Clubs (who are avid pin traders at their conventions).

Dopey is almost 2" long and lying on a patch of green grass. He is holding a tiny Lions Club logo.

This pin has 2 tacks on the back, but no backstamp of any kind.

There seem to be various versions of the Snow White Lions Club pins. This pin is very thick, the metal separating the colors is broad, and the paint does not fill the entire cavity, leaving a series of rounded valleys. In other versions, the metal (and the gold separating the colors) is much thinner (are of normal thickness), the colors completely fill in the valleys and appear to be true cloisonne, and the backs are different (e.g., instead of multiple tacks, they may have a single tack, a brooch-style [safety pin] back, or even a long stick pin).
