PP22252    Cinderella - old 3D plastic pin

Front Description

I don't know much about this plastic 3D Cinderella pin other than I got it in the early- to mid-1990s. My guess is that it's from the 1940s or 1950s, but that's only a guess.

Although I have referred to this pin as being "plastic," it is probably more accurately described as being made of "Bakelite." Bakelite is an early (the first?) plastic, and was used to make jewerly, Art Deco items, and lots of other products from the 1920s through the 1950s.

There no marks on the back that I can see, but as I think back on it, I believe that, when I first bought this pin, it had a foil or paper label on the back which identified it as a legitimate Disney product, but my memory is not 100% clear on that.
