Disney held their annual Teacherrific awards ceremony Aug 12th. There were a total of 98 awards, some given to more than one person, with a total of 189 award recipients. After each receiving their cash prizes of at least $1,000 and gold Mouscar (Oscar) trophy, they had to sign a publicity release backstage to receive the new 2000 pin.
The pin is 1.5 inches square.
This pin features Jiminy Cricket from Pinocchio holding a pencil in one hand and his hat in the other. The words I'm Teacherrific! are on the bottom of the pin.

Pins were not awarded at the 2001 or the 2002 Teacherrific Awards making 1998, 1999, and 2000 the only three years a version of this pin was awarded.
