Front Description
Minnie Mouse from the 1928 cartoon, Steamboat Willie, is one of six pins in a limited edition framed pin collection (#10886), created as a celebration of Mickey Mouse's favorite girl. Each pin is individually-numbered.
Steamboat Willie marked not only Mickey Mouse's debut, but also that of his lady-love Minnie. This landmark black and white cartoon was released at the Colony Theater in New York on November 18, 1928, the date also celebrated as Minnie and Mickey's official birthday.
A shy Minnie, turned forward, is in black and white except for her pale yellow shoes and a band around her hat; she also has a pale pink and yellow flower coming from her hat. She stands before a pale green background with the date 1928 in pale pink at the top.
This pin measures 1 1/4" (3.2 cm) wide and 1 1/2 (3.8 cm) tall. The reverse reads, LIMITED EDITION ____/1928 (with the individual number stamped in the space), © DISNEY.
Because these pins were glued by Disney to the frame, many of these individual pins will may adhesive or paper on the back.
Other pins in the set include: (#20545), (#22635), (#23881), (#25002) and (#39774).
