Front Description
This pin features TIGGER taking a step forward with his left foot, tail dragging behind. He has a yellow belly and face, orange arms, legs, tail and outer head portion with black stripes. The pin represents the Tigger that is in the parks who has a black nose. It's to keep it from showing dirt when people rub the nose. In movies and books, Tigger traditionally has a pink nose.
Originally released in 1990, this pin was also sold on WDW 2000 cards for the Millennium Celebration. The 2000 cards were sold bearing both real cloisonne (with a browner fur) and synthetic (brighter-orange fur) versions. When held next to each other, the color difference (and cloisonne vs synthetic difference) are quite obvious. Other than that, the pins are identical, down to the older backstamp which does NOT have the 2000 Hand in Hand logo on the back (pin is too small). Without having the pin on the 2000 card, it would impossible to tell the real-cloisonne 2000 pin from the earlier cloisonne versions in production since 1990. During the Millennium Celebration, these pins cost $6.00/each.
The first picture shows real cloisonne on the left, synthetic on the right.
For cataloguing purposes, this pin listing covers all of the pins sold between 1990 and 2000 with this backstamp. If the cloisonne or synthetic production matters to you, make sure you ask the person you're trading with to send photos before mailing your trade.
