Front Description
This is a dark blue velvet box with 3 pins in it: 1: Ariel from "The Little Mermaid" with the word Disney on it, 2: Mickey Mouse silhouette with the word Resort on it and 3: Mickey with balloons and the word Story on it. On the box and on the pins, you can read: 'Disney Resort Story. In memory of first edition.' Sep.4.2002'. This pin set originated from Japan. Disney Resort Story (or Disney Resort Monogatari as it is called in Japanese) is a monthly magazine published by Kodansha.
In order to get this pin set, you had ot puchase 10 issues of the magazine. After each purchase, you had to visit a site set up by Kodansha using your mobile phone. At the end of 10 months, the publisher then sent out coupons to those with 10 registrations.
These pins were available in a limited number (although I suspect quite a few more than 90) for a limited time. Those who received a coupon entitling them to a set had to go the DS (presumable at Tokyo Disney Resort) and purchase more than 3000 yen worth of goods. When paying they could present the coupon and if the pins were still available, you got to take a set home.
Pins in this set include: 33608, 37128 & 37129
