PP2631    UK - Winnie the Pooh Holding Mistletoe - Christmas

Pooh is wearing a Santa Claus hat and holding some mistletoe over his head. This pin came from the UK. It is a "bonus" pin. When making purchases from the London DS, you received coupons for dollars purchased. When you had collected enough coupons, you turned them in to receive this pin at no additional cost. I recieved my first one from a lady in the UK who worked at the London DS and told me of it's origin and how to receive it. It was from Christmas 2000.

New information that is slightly different from above says: It was actually given away as part of a newspaper promotion. Once you had collected enough tokens you took them to any DS in the UK and received a scratch card. The pin was one of the prizes. Once the event was finished the store was able to distribute their remaining pins as they wanted. Many of the stores gave them away with pre-sales or if you spent over a certain amount.
