PP26501    WDW - Fauna - Good Fairies Set - Cast Lanyard Series 2 - 2003-2004

One of four pins from the GOOD FAIRIES set of Cast Lanyard Series 2 (2003-04) pins released in 2004 at Walt Disney World. Each pin features one of the Three Good Fairies from Sleeping Beauty or the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella. Available only by trade with a cast member. This Cast Lanyard pin was never produced with a Hidden Mickey icon on it, was never available for purchase, was made by Disney with a 2003 or 2004 backstamp, and was only produced in gold-plated metal.

This pin features FAUNA, one of the Three Good Fairies from Disney's animated Sleeping Beauty. She's dressed in light teal and dark teal and flying in front of a black-colored night sky.

Dizpins note 26 Jun 2004: The Fauna pin is definitely dated 2003 for the first series and 2004 on the recent one. The biggest difference you can see with the Fauna pins is the placement of the wording on the back of the pins has been reversed.

Note: When this pin was first shown on dizpins.com and previewed at the 2003 annual event at WDW, Disney had used a prototype for the photo. Unfortunately, that art (with those colors) was never used in the actual production of the pin. The prototype colors were red, orange, and yellow, and this is often listed as a "color variant". There never were two differently-colored runs or color variants. The colors were only seen in the pre-production pin/picture released by Disney before the pin was produced.

As with all Disney Cast Lanyard and Hidden Mickey pins, these pins have been highly faked by Chinese factories throughout the years. Exercise caution when trading and/or buying.
