Design shows Mickey as Steamboat Willie with a ribbon at the bottom. Ribbon reads "1928". It's 1 of a series of 6. This pin series commemorated Mickey's 60th birthday, and was released monthly from June until November 1988. Guests could receive each month's pin by making a $25 purchase. Pins not distributed at the end of each month were destroyed. Pin measures 3/4 x 1-1/8 inches.

[May 2009 comment: I have it from a good source that to get this, the first pin in the series, you had to spend $50. Not enough people spent that much in 1988 (The average sale was around $12.50, or so I have been told.)so the amount was lowered to $25 for the rest of the pins in the series so more would be given out. Steamboat Willie is even more rare than the rest of the series.]
