Beautiful framed 3-D limited-edition pin set celebrating "Disney's California Adventure" Inaugural.
Set is composed of 5 different pins attached to a metal background (the background has complementing images that tie into the designs of each pin). The five pins are: Golden Gate Bridge Monorail crossing; Grizzly Peak with rafters below; Hollywood District with Elephant and Animation Building; Superstar Limo; and Paradise Pier (featuring California Screamin', Sun Wheel, Orange Stinger, and Maliboomer). Some of the images on the background are a Screamin' Coaster car creating a wave at launch and hang gliders from Soarin'.
The center image on the background is the Sun Icon; its golden rays continue out onto the gold-colored frame matting. Includes a "Disney's California Adventure Inaugural Celebration 2001" logo below the pins.
Not as large as Pin Set #4540, but just as beautiful (and I own both).
Here's the description from Disney: "Our Inaugural Celebration pin set creates a 3-D look with each pin representing the various landscapes of the park in the distinctive mosaic look of the entrance to the park. Epoxy dome pins arrive matted and framed. Limited Edition of 2001. 12'' W x 14'' H."
