Front Description
Steamboat Willie (1928) is one of six pins in the Mickey Through the Years 1928-1998 Framed Set (#10624) issued for the 70th birthday of Mickey Mouse.
Mickey, center, facing left, is in shades of gray along with the ship's wheel (left) and the date 1928 (right). Behind this is an oval background in light blue.
From the COA: "Steamboat Willie marked not only Mickey's debut, but also was the first cartoon to have sychronized sound. It was released at the Colony Theater in New York on November 18, 1928, the date also celebrated as Mickey's official birthdate."
The pin measures 1 1/2" (3.8 cm) wide by 1 1/4" (3.2 cm) tall. On the reverse, pin is individually numbered, stating, "LIMITED EDITION, xxxx/1928, © DISNEY.
