Front Description
The Sorcerer's Apprentice (1940) is one of six pins in the Mickey Through the Years 1928-1998 Framed Set (#10624) issued for the 70th birthday of Mickey Mouse.
Mickey, facing right, has his hands raised with wand in his right hand. He is dressed in the costume he used in "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" segment - red robe with brown tie, brown shoes and the blue pointed hat Mickey borrowed from his master, Yen Sid. Behind him is an oval of dark blue with gold stars.
From the COA: "The Sorcerer's Apprentice (1940) is perhaps Mickey's most well-known character. Featured in the highly regarded Disney classic film, "Fantasia," Mickey's delightful sequence was performed to Dukas' classical piece, "The Sorcerer's Apprentice."
The pin measures 7/8" (2.2 cm) wide by 1 1/2" (3.8 cm) tall. On the reverse, pin is individually numbered, stating, "LIMITED EDITION, xxxx/1928, © DISNEY.
