Front Description
The Mickey Mouse Club (1955) is one of six pins in the Mickey Through the Years 1928-1998 Framed Set (#10624) issued for the 70th birthday of Mickey Mouse.
Mickey, facing forward, is in a black and white tuxedo with red bow tie (which he is pulling on both ends with his hands). His his is turned to the left. The background is a dark purple diamond with gold dots and the date 1955 on both sides of his feet (19 feet 55).
From the COA: "The Mickey Mouse Club (1955-1959) marked Mickey's first foray into television. One of the most popular children's television series of all time, 'The Mickey Mouse Club' was introduced Monday through Friday by Mickey, himself -- here featured in his 'Everybody neat and pretty?' pose."
The pin measures 1 1/8" (2.9 cm) wide by 1 5/8" (4.1 cm) tall. On the reverse, pin is individually numbered, stating, "LIMITED EDITION, xxxx/1928, © DISNEY.
