Front Description
This small pin, made out of special painted metal, was created by General Electric for the opening of EPCOT Center’s Horizons pavilion on October 1, 1983. It is about ½ inch in diameter and is bluish black with the horizontal golden lines leading towards the horizons of the future. At the center is a red dot which glows and blinks when a battery is added.
This rare pin was given to attendees, employees and other special guests at the dedication ceremony for Horizons. It came in a silver box with top that also had the Horizons logo on its top. This also comes with special card which reads the following:
This glowing pin has been specially created for the dedication of our HORIZONS Pavilion on October 1, 1983.
We hope that our continued efforts in research and development toward a batter community of tomorrow will always serve as a beacon of light in the darkness.
