Front Description
Companion pin to the Mickey Mouse (#11376), this vintage Minnie Mouse was created by one of Disney's first licensed pin manufacturer, Brier Mfg. Co. of Providence, Rhode Island.
This true cloisonné pin is approximately 1" tall. Minnie holds her hands out toward her left. She has a red dress and a flower a red flower in her red hair. Her body, ears, tail and shoes are black; her face is white.
The back has an old broach style backing to clasp it to clothing. The backstamp is, "© WD."
Research (see Disneyana: Walt Disney Collectibles by Cecil Munsey (New York: Hawthorn Books, Inc., 1974), p. 135 (picture of products sold by Brier Mfg. Co. with description)) shows that this was originally sold on cardboard stands with (#11376) for 10 cents.
The design is similar to (#20789) but was made by a differnt company.
