NEW!! Cast Member Exclusive 1955 Badge Replica. 2004 Version! This comes in a nice tin metal box. This is a 3D pin with the DL logo and 1955 in 3D. The picture doesn't show the extreme beauty of this pin. It is shiney gold, same color as the DL logo is showing up as. This is the same size as the original badges worn in the early days which had numbers instead of names on them. Very large pin with a straight pin back. The difference between this 2004 version to the 1995 version is on the back of this pin it says "Cast Exclusive Limited Edition 3000, Disney." On the back of the 1995 it says " (c) Disney". The front is the same on both versions.

The Original Cast Member Badge
The enclosed badge, a replica of the original copper and brass badges worn by Cast Members from July 17, 1955 until 1962. The original tags did not bear the Cast Member's name, but a number. After just seven years, plastic nametags replaced the metal badges, making them a part of Disneyland history. So rare are the original badges now that even the Walt Disney Archives does not have one.

Pins are identical in the same color used inside the letters and numbers. The weight of both pins are identical. The 1995 version has (c) Disney on the back. The 2004 version has Cast Exclusive Limited Edition 3000 Disney (c) Made in China. The 2004 tin is slightly bigger in diameter (about 1/8")
