Front Description
This pin was designed by Disneyland Resort cast member, Jonathan M. Lara, as part of the employee "Create-A-Pin" contest. The pin features Sorcerer Mickey Mouse holding a Disneyland Cast Member Nametag that reads "Official Magic Maker" in black and gold. The name badge depicts the contemporary Disneyland Resort logo with Sleeping Beauty Castle, Grizzly Peak, and the monorail. The dangle portion of the pin says "Making Magic One Smile at a Time." Mickey is wearing the red robe and blue sorcerer hat from the Sorcerer's Apprentice segment of Fantasia.
On January 31, 2004, Jonathan was on hand to sign the pin created from his design. Guests who waited for autographs also received a short biography of the designer. Jonathan's reads:
"Jonathan M. Lara joined the Disney team in November 2001 as part of the Entertainment Division at the Disneyland Resort. Jonathan's "Create-A-Pin" design serves as a tribute to world renowned magic maker, Mickey Mouse and to all Disneyland Resort Cast Members who take their role each day to keep the magic alive."
The pin is back stamped "Cast Member Design" and states the edition size. The gold-finished pin measures approx 2" x 1 1/4".
