One in a set of 14 pins sold to cast members to celebrate Disneyland's 40th Anniversary. Each pin represented an attraction that had closed by 1990. This one shows the marquee of the Mickey Mouse Club Theater. The theater had been located in Fantasyland approximately where the Pinocchio ride is now.
The Classic Disneyland card which came with this pin reads as the following: "Mickey Mouse Club Theater first opened its doors in August of 1955. Located approximately where Pinocchio’s Daring Journey is now found, it was a hotbed of animated activity for years. Classic Disney cartoons were shown there as well as occasional stage shows and Cast Updates. In 1964 it became the Fantasyland Theater, with its purpose unchanged until it was closed when Fantasyland was renovated in 1981."
