PP28219    2002 Winter Olympics Mormon Missionary pin 2nd release

Front Description

This pin bears both the Snow Flake and 5 Rings official logos for the 2002 Olympics. It reads Salt Lake 2002. It is a secondary pin released with 2 men dressed in t-shirts and jeans and helmets. The secondary pin was quickly dubbed P-day (prep day, which is the one day a week when Mormon Missionaries get to dress down and take care of their shopping and laundry etc.) pin. The first release pin pictured 2 men riding bicycles wearing white shirts and ties. It is said to have been released for Bicycle Safety day, the riders are the spitting image of Mormon Missionaries though and they are not wearing helmets so it was commonly known as the Mormon Missionary pin. The first release pin is #28218
