A pin with a story. This Alien Encounter pin was supposed to be released as at Media event to highlight the opening of Alien Encounter, according to Tomart's 3rd Edition (page 80). One poster suggests that the Media event was cancelled when Michael Eisner felt the attraction was too scary. George Lucas did the attraction over and the original logo of the pin changed. The pin was never sold to the public.
The pin resembles a badge. It is shaped like an upside-down triangle, with gold, black and red coloring. The old Alien Encounter logo is in the center inside a blue oval.
Alien Encounter was closed forever on Oct. 12, 2003.
