Front Description
During World War II, The Walt Disney Studio was swamped with requests from the military to use Disney characters in creating distinctive unit insignia. Over a five-year period, the Studio contributed over 1,200 designs to the war effort. Disney presents part of a relatively forgotten body of Disney art that helped boost morale during the war years.
This pin depicts Donald Duck wearing a green non distinct military uniform. Donald's eyes are closed and he is saluting with his right hand as he walks towards the right. In Donald's left hand he is holding a wrench. Donald's shadow is visible behind him. This was a military logo used from 1941 to 1945
