Front Description
The five STAR WARS WEEKENDS events for 2004 took place at Disney-MGM Studios in WDW, running May 14-June 13. Each long weekend (Friday-Sunday) featured celebrity guests and lots of merchandise exclusive to the events. Artist Randy Noble was signing at three of the events, and art was used to represent scenes from both the prequels and the original Trilogy. Over the course of the five weekends, eleven individual pins and a Droid Boxed Set were released. There was also an LE100 Framed Set featuring 10 of the single pins (excluding the Droid boxed set and the jumbo Jedi Mickey pin).
Released on 14 May 2004, this Limited-Edition features six Star Wars Droids pins (inspired by Star Tours). From upper left, clockwise, the droids are WEG-1618, C-3PO, RX-24, R4-M9, R2-D2 (flying), and R5-D4. The black box the set came in is accented by a 5-inch metal inlay featuring R2-D2.
Originally released at $125, the price was reduced to $65 on June 4, 2004 (the fourth of the five weekly events).
