Front Description
One of five open-edition pins released on 7 Oct 2000 by Disney Cruise Line. This pin represents the "Mickey's Pool" attraction on DCL's "Magic" and "Wonder". The round pin has a blue "bottom" (as does the pool) with Mickey Mouse's profile. His ears are a pin-on-pin element meant to reflect the raised portions of the actual pool.
The epoxy on this pin has yellowed quite badly. The original pin had a white inner rim, and the background was more a periwinkle blue. Besides which, Mickey did not look like he was jaundiced! The second photo is the original 2000 picture from Disney.
The original version (2000) of this pin has just the Disney Cruise Line backstamp with ©Disney/Made in China on it. The newer pins (possible fakes) have the 2001 or 2002 pin-trading logo with the cruise line logo.
