Front Description
One of the pin sets which will be offered to attendees of the 999 Happy Haunts Event to be held 10/27/2004 at the Magic Kingdom in Florida. This set is a resin sculpture replica of the stretching room and (4) of the stretching portraits are represented as pins.
The Happy Haunts Ball is a "ghoulish gathering" to celebrate the Haunted Mansion attraction. Titled "Stretching the Imagination," this gallery replica houses pin reproductions of the four famous paintings conceptualized by Disney legend, Marc Davis. The pin-on-pins are approximately 2.25" tall, and feature the "dynamite," "headstone," "parasol," and "quicksand" portraits. The top "wall" of the replica may be lowered and lifted to either view the characters in their "corruptible, mortal state" or the full humorous/morbid scene of the stretched "paintings."
Each of the pins in this set is back-stamped with the event logo as well as the edition size. The resin sculpture is also labeled with the edition size on the back-left side. The piece arrives with a "Certificate of Verification." Note: the pins can be easily removed from the sculpture.
Individual pins in this set are listed as 35406, 35407, 35408, 35409.
