Front Description
This square button, approximately two inches by two inches, was purchased around 1993 at Epcot Center’s Canadian Pavilion, at the quaint shop located in the Hotel du Canada called La Boutique Des Provinces. This shop showcases Anne of Green Gables themed items along with Linda Edgington decoupage and pewter.
The button depicts red-haired Anne Shirley along with her best friend, Diana Berry. They are drinking tea and eating cake (probably the scene from the chapter entitled “Diana Is Invited to Tea with Tragic Results” with its raspberry cordial….)
Below the tea and crumpet set is the logo Anne of Green Gables.
The back edges of the button reads as follows:

Lucy Maud Montgomery’s universe of Prince Edwards Island (which includes Anne of Green Gables book series, The Story Girl and The Golden Road, and Tales of Avonlea) was brought to the small screen by Sullivan Entertainment in a television mini series entitled “Anne of Green Gables” (1985), “Annie of Green Gables: The Sequel” (1987) and “Anne of Green Gables : The Continuing Story “(2000). A regular Emmy award winning television series, entitled “The Road to Avonlea” was produced from 1989 – 1996 by Sullivan Entertainment and the Walt Disney Company’s Disney Channel (primarly based on the Story Girl and The Golden Road, but taking place in Anne’s home town of Avonlea.) “The Road to Avonlea” (shortened for US audiences to simply “Avonlea”) ran on the Disney Channel in the 1990’s.
