Front Description
Minnie Mouse is featured in this special 24-karat gold-plated version of (#17788), part of a Twelve Days of Christmas series released at Disneyland Resort's Premiere Shop in 2002.
12 sets of the 24-karat version of the pins were available; 10 were sold, and the other two were sold in a six-hour silent auction held at the Premiere Shop. Bidding on the 12-pin sets started at $695.
The pin's front features Minnie, center, walking left, with red and white dress, large yellow shoes and red and white polka dot bow, carrying a grey pail of milk (which is splashing out the top). A brown cow is behind her to the right, along with the number 8. At the top is a sign on a milkshake machine which says, "Minnie's Milkshakes." Minnie walks on a oval of turquoise. At the bottom are the words, "Eight Maids a Milking" in a gold-bordered white banner.
The pin measures 1 1/2" (39 mm) by 1 3/4" (44 mm). The backstamp is, "Disneyland Resort, TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS, 24K GOLD PLATED LIMITED EDITION 12." It has a double post back.
The pin is identical to (#17788) with the exception of the 24k gold.
