The Spirit Award is one of the highest honors obtainable at the Disney Company. Nominations are by fellow cast members. It is a round gold matte pin with high polish finish Mickey Mouse head with the words "The Disney Spirit" Only 1% of cast members receive this pin.
This is an award that is given out within the DSs. Award basis is: The recipient of the Disney Spirit Award is someone who fellow CM's feel consistently typifies the Disney Spirit. This CM is considered a role model through the expression of such qualities as dedication, enthusiasm, stability, cheerfulness, motivation, courtesy, reliability, responsibility, dependability, discipline, unselfishness, and consideration. In addition the CM nominated must maintain satsifactory job performance - and must be verified by their DM
This pin measures just 3/4" in diameter, and has “© DISNEY” stamped on the back.
I have one that has the backstamp Disney and Taiwan and another that has a brushed back and no backstamp.
