Front Description
This 2001 press pin represents the SpectroMagic Parade at the Magic Kingdom. The background has the same background pattern as 13 of the 16 pins in (#8525), with the same 100-years logo appearing on the bottom and the sorcerer's hat icon at the top. The title "SpectroMagic" goes diagnally across the pin in rainbow of colors.
This may have been originally designed to be one of the 100 Years of Magic pins given to members of the press as a boxed set of 16 pins (#8525) (including the 4 bonus pins) at the Walt Disney Birthday celebration at the MGM Studios on December 5, 2001. Each of these pins represent a new attraction or event created for the 100 Years of Magic celebration at WDW. Since the SpectroMagic Parade was premiered for WDW's 20th anniversary in 1991, maybe this pin was never mass produced for the this set.
The pin is 1 1/2" (38 mm) tall and wide; the backstamp is, "© Disney, China."
