Front Description
The Flying Saucers ride is one of 67 pins released as a series in 1998 (before pin trading had officially started) to commemorate some of Disneyland's favorite attractions - both present to that time and from the past.
This pin features a green and white Flying Saucers vehicle, with a Guest dressed in orange and green inside. FLYING SAUCERS is at the top with the Disneyland logo at the bottom.
The short-lived attraction from the 1960s featured bumper car-like hover crafts.
NOTE ON SERIES PINS - At the same time as this series of pins were released, the Disneyland Gallery released four Limited Edition framed art/pin pieces for the different Tomorrowland's: 1955-1961, 1961-1966, 1966-1998 and 1998. There was a lithograph of the rides on the left, and on the right were the pins with attractions from that time period. Both the framed sets and the pins were individually-numbered.
This silver-finished pin measures 1 1/4" (3.2 cm) tall by 1 1/2" (3.8 cm) wide.
