This Limited Edition Jumbo-sized spinner pin-on-pin is part of the 2005 Featured Artist series and features Princess Aurora wearing a blue dress. Princess Aurora spins around to reveal a pink dress. Cody Reynolds from Disney Design Group designed this pin called "Always Enchanting". Aurora in her blue dress is surrounded by a pink frame with yellow pillars which have blue flowers around them. Behind Aurora is her castle. The three fairies, Flora, Fauna & Merryweather are in flight on the pink frame.
This pin measures approximately 3" x 3" and includes the "Feature Artist" logo and Artist's signature back stamped. The pin is packaged in a beautiful display box and includes the Artist's bio and photograph.
Cody's bio reads: "Once upon a time in a far away land called New Jersey, a young boy, named Cody, dreamed of being a Disney Artist. So he hopped on a magic carpet and went to the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. Upon graduation in 1995, Cody was selected as a Character Artist intern with the Disney Design Group. Now he lives happily ever after fulfilling his lifelong dream.....as a Disney Artist!".
The pins produced have a slight unnoticable error. If you look on the back where it should say "Disney China" it instead reads "Disne China." They forgot to add the "Y" in Disney.
This pin was pulled from sale the day it was released. This statement was released by Disney:
We would like to thank you for your continued support of Disney Pin Trading at the Disneyland® Resort. We appreciate your understanding of the issue that arose as part of the release of the "Always Enchanting" Featured Artist Pin on Sunday, February 20, 2005 and our decision to discontinue the selling of the pin. Certainly it is never our intention to cause our Guests disappointment as our goal at the Disneyland® Resort is to always provide an exceptional level of quality merchandise. Due to the error that exists on the pin, the decision has been made not to sell the remaining quantities.
