Front Description
This blue, 3” round button was a gift with membership in The Walt Disney Studios Movie Club during the club’s first year, 1988.
The button has an outline of Mickey ears in yellow theatre marquee lights, with “The Walt Disney Studios” in white letters (“Walt Disney” in his signature script) within the marquee, and “Movie Club” in pink cursive just below. “PREMIERE YEAR” is in white block letters on the bottom part of the button. The rim has ©DISNEY imprinted on it. There is nothing on the back of the button except the safety-pin.
Membership in The Walt Disney Studios Movie Club was $15.00: members received the button, a t-shirt, membership card and certificate, and quarterly issues of “Disney’s Preview” magazine. The Walt Disney Studios Movie Club was created in Winter 1988, but was discontinued in Summer 1990.
