This Don "Ducky" Williams-designed pin was originally distributed on a card that said, "Extra Extra" above where Mickey is placed, and below the pin it says, "This 'Newsman Mickey' pin was produced exclusively for the news media in a limited edition.
"Pin trading had become a phenomenon at Walt Disney World Resort, and 'Newsman Mickey' is sure to become a collectible.

It is rumored to have been a limited edition of 500. There is a companion pin, "Broadcast Goofy" (#3829). Both pins approx size of a dime.
