PP38747    DCL - Panama Canal Crossing 2005 - Disney Magic - Super Jumbo

This Super-jumbo Limited Edition pin celebrated the special 2005 Panama Canal Crossing Cruise. The cruise took place from May 14 to May 28, 2005, and August 20 to September 3, 2005. This pin features the logo especially designed for this voyage by Disney Design Group Artist Michelle Morrow. There are several pin-on-pin elements, including the palm trees, the banner and the Disney Magic Ship. Top reads "Disney Cruise Line". There are circles (ears) on both sides with pictures of Sleeping Beauty Castle on the right and Cinderella Castle on the left, which symbolize the travel from California to Florida through the Canal. In the center of the pin is a cruise ship, on the water, with palm trees on either side. On the bottom of the pin is a blue banner/ribbon which reads "Panama Canal Crossing" and the dates of the two cruises on either side.

The pin came in a wooden box with a sliding lid. The box measures approximately 8.75" wide by 11.75" tall.
