PP38793    DLR - Cast Member Training Team Button

This is a large, square blue button. Across the top it says "Creating the Future One Cast Member At A Time." It has the DLR logo in the center and beneath, a blue ribbon which says "Training Team."

In 2000, the DLR began a massive effort to recruit and train the thousands of new cast members who would be needed to open DCA and Downtown Disney. The Disney University (Disney U) recruited Disney cast members from many different departments to form training teams for the various Lines-of-Business (LOB). On Februaury 2, 2001, the Disney U had an appreciation banquet for the trainers. They were presented with a certificate of appreciation in a grey folder and this button. The training managers were given a pin (Pinpics # 12025) instead of a button. The pin is very similar in design to this button.
