Front Description
The large globe officially known as the Unisphere is featured in this 50 Magical Moments series pin honoring Walt Disney's participation in the New York World's Fair (held in 1964 and 1965 in Flushing Meadows, Queens).
The Cast Member-exclusive pin shows the World's Fair logo (the large globe) and the tower of the four winds, which was the icon in front of the "It's a Small World" exhibit. It is one of only a handful of pins registered on Pinpics which deals with the World's Fair, though several Disney exhibits (including "It's a Small World," "Carousel of Progress," "Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln" and others) made their debut there.
The pin has a blue sphere and a colorful tower full of different shapes. The tower is the "Tower of the Four Winds", a 120-foot tall kinetic sculpture that was at the front of Pepsi/Unicef's "It's a Small World". Designed by Rolly Crump.
The back of the pin reads: "50 Happiest Moments on Earth Series, Disneyland Resort 50th Anniversary Cast Exclusive, © Disney, Limited Edition 1000."
