This Open Edition pin celebrates the Voyage of the Little Mermaid Attraction at the Disney-MGM Studios. This pin-on-pin features characters from Disney's The Little Mermaid. The attraction opened on January 7, 1992 and features animation, live performers, puppetry, lasers and special effects in an under the sea adventure.
Ariel is sitting in a rock with Ursula to the left and King Triton, Sebastian, and Flounder on the right the background is the studio wall from the "Voyage of the Little Mermaid". The logo of the attraction is in the bottom of the pin. The pin resembles the display from the actual attraction.
As of December 2009, the display on which this pin is based has been replaced with a different attraction sign.
