PP39609    DL - Celebrating 35 Years of Magic Framed Set (12 Pins)

A framed set of the 12 pins randomly given away at Disneyland to commemorate the park's 35th anniversary. According to the recollection of someone at Winco, they did not create the pins but created the framing and center medallion, and that around 250 sets were created. The set is matted on a dark blue background, with gold and light blue matting around it and solid wood frame. 11 1/2"W x 9 3/4"H. In the center is a brass plate with the 35 Years of Magic castle logo in light blue, and the words "Celebrating 35 Years of Magic, Disneyland®, 1990." All the pins in this series, the back of this pin is the old latch variety.

[2008 comment: My framed set came in a highly glossy black frame with a sorcerer mickey symbol in black at the bottom left corner. It measures 12 1/4" wide by 10 1/4" high. The pins are arranged differently than shown; there are two pins to either side of the round plaque in the center, and all five of these elements (the 4 pins and the plaque) form a horizontal row. There are four pins above this row forming a concave-down arc, and four pins below the horizontal row, forming a concave-up arc. In addition, the circular plaque at the center has the Blue 35 Years of Magic Logo, and below that: Disneyland Commemorative Pins 1990 The back has a Disney price tag sticker, with a price of $100.00 and an SKU of: 400157100316.]
