PP39922    DLR - Mother's Day 2005 Double Dangle (Tinker Bell) Error

Front Description

Tinker Bell double dangle LE 1500 pin that was scheduled to be released on May 1st. Tinker Bell with translucent wings is flying on the top part of this pin holding a pink banner that says "Happy Mother's Day May 7, 2005" and underneath that banner is the Disneyland Resort logo.

It turned out that all pins were created with the wrong Mother's Day date printed on it. This pin says Mother's Day May 7th and the holiday was actually on May 8th. The debate was about whether or not to release the pin as an error pin because they didn't want such a beautiful pin to go to waste. It was decided not to release the pin after a few had been sold to Cast Members and the rest were sent back to be destroyed, however, these pins have turned up as scrappers being sold to individuals directly from China and not individuals who are associated with the Walt Disney Company.

The back of the pin has the pin trading logo and Limited Edition 1500, Disney, China. Its a big pin.

**Be advised that there are unauthorized versions of this pin being sold directly from China to individuals not associated with Disney. There are unauthorized versions of this pin as is, and also versions with out the middle portion or the Happy Mother's Day Dangle portion.
