Inspired by artwork created by the Disney Design Group, this Jumbo pin is from a collection of 20 Jumbo pins. Each Jumbo pin celebrates 50 Years of Disney Theme Parks and is packaged in a box. An Artist Bio is also included with the pin.
Jon Bishop from Disney Design Group calls this pin "Astro Orbiter." The pin features a Mickey Mouse Ear Hat shape with the classic Tomorrowland® Attraction. The rocketships are mounted on springs and two of the smaller planets spin.
Jon's bio reads:
"Born in Southampton, England, I came to Orlando in December 1987 as part of the International Program at Epcot®. With a background in graphic design I later moved to the Disney Design Group. The experience of working with such a talented and dedicated team for the last eight years has been incredible. The Astro Orbiter appealed to me becuase of its distinctive architecture. It evokes images of a future brought to life by such visionaries as Jules Verne and H.G. Wells."
