Front Description
This dining pin was limited to Annual Passholders who made single food purchase of $30 or more (after tax and any discounts) at selected restaurants throughout DLR. This is pin number 3 in the "5 Decades of Disney Dining" series available to Annual Passholders. The copy on the inside of the box reads:
"Opening in Adventureland in June of 1962, the Tahitian Terrace brought a taste of the South Pacific to Southern California. Walt Disney wanted Guests to "explore" the world and to enjoy an exciting tableside adventure that combined fine dining and nightly entertainment, from lovely hula girls to heart-pounding drums to thrilling fire dancers. The experience was the perfect watch to the colorful world of the Enchanted Tiki Room. The Polynesian-themed show and its famous "Tahitian Terrace Punch" were quite popular among Guests. On April 17,1993, the location closed and was replaced by Aladdin's Oasis, a new restaurant experience that immersed Guests in the mystery and adventure of Disney's animated feature Aladdin".
Pin features Timon and Pumbaa from Lion King. Both are wearing leis and green grass skirts. Timon points/gestures to a tall glass of purple Tahitian Terrace Punch that has a straw in it.
