Maleficent, the image of evil in Disney films, is featured on this pin, one of eight pins in the "Disney Villains" framed set (#32619) released during the 2004 "A Family Pin Gathering" event at Walt Disney World.
The villain from Sleeping Beauty faces right but her body is turned forward; her right hand is lifted up as if she were ready to brush someone off. She is dressed in her black gown and headpiecewith grape purple trim. Her skin is a gray-green tint. She is shown from the chest-up.
Disney Design Group Artist Jeff Ebersohl designed this pin. It measures 1 5/8" (4 cm) wide and almost 2" (5 cm) tall. The reverse has both the 2004 Disney Pin Trading logo and the "A Family Pin Gathering" logo, plus "LIMITED EDITION OF 50, © DISNEY, MADE IN CHINA." As with all the pins in the set, the pin has a shortened (cut-off) post in the back, presumably to make it easier to use within a frame (no post cap).

It is highly suspected that there are unauthorized versions of this pin being sold on the secondary market. Every pin released by Disney has the potential of being a scrapper. Once again, no one can guarantee the authenticity of any Disney pin unless it was purchased directly from Disney.
